Right before Thanksgiving we took a much needed family vacation. Doug had been working non-stop and so we all needed a break. We went up to Kansas City to see some church history sites and see Duke play basketball. We went to The Church of Christ temple, a Tree Lighting and Christmas activity in Independence, The Church of Jesus Christ Independence visitors center, and Liberty Jail, we went to the Kansas City Zoo, and enjoyed swimming and relaxing in the hotel.

On Sunday, we took a picnic to eat after church and in between our Church History site visits. We were eating apples and Amos really wanted a bit. This was his way of letting us know he was ready for more then a bottle. Unfortunately his Mama wasn't quite ready for him to be big enough for solids. His Daddy was nice enough to let him suck on his apple for a minute. Dallin made sure that Daddy knew that Amos wasn't suppose to have food yet. He also made a jack-o-lantern apple.

The last part of our trip was spent watching Duke play basketball. Amos needed to go his first game and we love being able to see our favorite team play in person. The boys did great watching all the games and even when they were incredibly tired. It was fun to watch our team and see them win.

Austin and Katelyn got baptized the beginning of December so we headed to Utah for the occasion. We spent the first day with Doug's family and went to Idaho for a quick trip to introduce Amos to his Great Grandma and Grandpa and other family members. Before our trip to Idaho, Grandma was kind enough to take Dallin outside to play in the snow. Dallin was in heaven playing in the snow. Then we went to spend time with the Washington's. Our first stop was to the twins baptism. Dallin was so excited to see his cousins and have friends to play with all the time. He loved to tackle and he and Blake became quick friends. Amos was a hit with everyone. We were able to go and see all the lights at Temple Square (I forgot the camera so I don't have pictures). We got see some friends. We got see reindeer and lights at Thanksgiving Point. We loved seeing our families and spending time with cousins.
