January 2012

 We had an exciting January.  Here are some fun things we did:
*Melissa took the boys to a train museum for storytime and then a picnic at the park next door.
*Amos is starting to do a little better feeding himself and eating with forks/spoons. Though one day he decided to put his bowl of applesauce in is lap.
*Amos started helping himself to whatever food he could reach in the kitchen.
*Amos really likes to make messes and get games out of the cupboard.
*Amos loves to read and look through books.  He would drag his scripture stories around the upstairs.

*Dallin got a dinosaur egg from the dinosaur museum when we went with Grandma.  Dallin loved waiting for the egg to hatch and was so excited when his T-Rex was "born".

*Dallin loves to build things and one day he built a beavers den in our gameroom.  He was so excited to lay in his den.

*Dallin loves to help cook.  He was so excited to make a moon pizza with a flag pole (aka pretzel).  He loves cheese pizza but sometimes he wants to put other stuff on it but he's really picky so sometimes it's hard to find other toppings he likes so one day he solved the problem by putting a graham cracker on his pizza (gross).

*The boys loved going to a playground with friends.  They had so much fun racing on the slide together as we waited for our friends to arrive.

*One afternoon while Amos was sleeping, Dallin pretended to be a paleontologist by getting a dinosaur out of an ice cube. 

*The boys had so much fun playing together and being silly.
*We had fun watching Duke games as a family.
*We enjoyed the nice winter weather and played outside some.

*One morning while I was in the shower the boys played upstairs and Dallin set up the chairs and had Amos sit down while he read to his brother.  When I was finished, Dallin told him that he was having preschool with Amos.  He was reading a dinosaur book to Amos.
*Dallin loves to build with his Trio blocks and he made a museum one afternoon.  He couldn't wait to show Doug when he got home that night.
*We love our little boys and it is so much fun to have them start to really play together.  Even though sometimes we have to break up fights every once and awhile.  They really do love each other.  Dallin always asks if he can wake Amos up from his naps.  Amos always wants to go get Dallin up in the morning on the days he sleeps in.
