Dallas with the Terry's

Our friends, The Terry's, came to visit us the first part of September. They were going to the BYU game in Dallas and made a week visit out of the trip. We enjoyed seeing our friends again, playing games, and showing them Dallas. Dallin had lots of fun having a playmate around, although he's not the best at sharing.
We went to the Arboretum for August Dollar Days, which was a blast. Dallin loved seeing all the story time houses they have right now. He also loved running around the gardens. Aiden had fun at the Toad Fountains, but Dallin was surprisingly afraid of the water and wouldn't get wet. However, we saw another pool/fountain and he laid on the side and splashed water all over himself. We topped off the day with a stop at Jamba Juice, YUM.
The Dallas Children's Hospital has a model train exhibit, that was amazing. Dallin loved seeing all the trains and the characters he could find riding on the trains. Mr. Incredible was riding one of the trains and Dallin loved finding him.
We took a walk around Dallas. We first stopped at the JFK museum and just walked around while Doug told us the story of his assassination. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures. It was fun listening to the story and discussing our thoughts on that piece of history. We then walked over to Pioneer Plaza to see the bronze cattle drive sculpture. It was really cool and Dallin loved seeing all the cows with long horns.
We then walked over to fountain place to look at all the water fountains. They were amazing and it was fun watching the water dance.
We took advantage of Dollar Hot Dog night at the Ballpark at Arlington. It was a fun baseball game. They hit two home runs while we were there so we got to see some fireworks. I love going to baseball games, it is such a fun atmosphere. Dallin is very cute at baseball games these days. He is adorable dancing in his seat to all the music.
The Ballpark at Arlington has a great view of the new Cowboy's Stadium. It is pretty amazing and Doug is waiting patiently for the day we can afford for him to go inside. Doug was very excited when BYU won later that week.
We went out to the Stockyards in Fort Worth to watch a cattle drive. We were able to take a look at the longhorns in their pen. Dallin thought all the cows were really cool. He loved seeing all the cowboys and petting the horse. He loved all the little horse rides by all the shops, and enjoyed riding with Addie and Aiden on the little carousel. He loved trying on hats in the store and came home with a cowboy hat.

We had a great visit with the Terry's (thanks for coming to stay with us).
