Texas State Fair Times 3

We enjoyed going to the Texas State Fair this year.  We went once with Grandma and Grandpa Hansen, once with Aunt Jamie, Grandma and Grandpa Washington, and once as a family.  We had so much fun and it will definitely be a tradition from now on.
We had so much fun seeing everything at the State Fair.  We enjoyed going to the Little Farm for kids, petting zoo, the vendors, the puppet show, the dog show, playing basketball, the rides, the Ferris Wheel, and of course the food.
Dallin loved going through the Little Farm.  He got to wear an apron and go to different stops and feed the animals, water plants and pick up produce.  At the end he sold his items to the market and got paid a dollar.  He then got to go the General Store and buy a treat.  He had so much fun, by the third time he was a pro and fed all the animals and he knew just what to do.  We also loved the petting zoo, it was by far the best petting zoo we have ever been to.  It was amazing and they had so many animals.  Dallin could have stayed their forever looking at all the animals.  They had zebras, goats, pigs, bison, ostrich, cows, turtle, giraffe, camels, a mama kangaroo with a joey, etc.  It was so much fun.  Dallin loved it.
They had a place where you could shoot basketballs so of course my boys wanted to stop there every time.  The second time Doug played in a little shooting contest and he had lots of fun and he did really well.  Dallin loved going on the rides.  The first time he only went on the whale ride so the second time when we told him we were going over the rides, he insisted on going on the whale ride.  We also went of the caterpillar roller coaster and the animal train.  Dallin had a blast.
Of course, you have to try some fried food.  Between all of our visits we each sampled lots of different things.  We tried fried butter, snickers, peanut butter - jelly - banana sandwich, s'more, Coke, cookie dough, grilled cheese, and funnel cake.  The corn dog was invented at the Texas State Fair so I tried one for lunch and it was very good.  It was fun to sample all the food.

So fun! Utah's state fair had the little farm, too. That is the kids' favorite part every year. BTW, you have to tell me how you do the collages! :)
