All About Dallin!

Dallin is growing up and he is such a happy boy.  He has a great imagination and loves to read stories.  He is always learning and always wanting to go and see new things.  In April we took a trip to a train museum and the fire station.  He had so much at those places with our ward playgroup.  He loves to be around other kids and is always introducing himself, "Hi, I'm Dallin!"  On days when I'm trying to be good and limit T.V. watching we play and he especially loves when we pull out the play-dough.  We often pull out the play-dough when I'm trying to do the dishes and he just wants to be near me.  He has been a good helper getting ready for the move.  He loves to play with the boxes and "help" them.  He can't wait to move into our new home.  He loves to visit the house and run to his room and then Amos' room.  He has a great imagination lately, his animals have been dinosaurs, cars have been rockets, and the list goes on.  He loves to play in the backyard at our new house and so when he plays with the house I made him for his birthday he climbs out the side and plays in his backyard.  He is becoming a big boy and has recently taken interest in the potty.  We have our good days and our bad days, but for a little boy that wasn't interested at all I really can't complain.  The first time he went potty I gave him a book and lots of jelly beans.  He stays dry at nap time and most nights so it seems to be coming along.
His favorite place to visit is by far the zoo.  He loves to see all the animals and go to the children's zoo.  He is always asking when we can go to the zoo next so I'm really glad we became zoo members.  We have loved the summer weather.  Dallin loves playing in the pool or at splash parks.  One evening when Daddy was working late we pulled out his small pool and Dallin loved filling the pool with the hose.  He loves to blow bubbles and color outside with sidewalk chalk.  I've been getting hot quickly so we don't spend as much time outside these days unless we go somewhere with water.  Dallin loves to read and we often find him in bed with lots of books all over.  I've recently put my foot down and he can't sleep with as much stuff and Dallin is doing well with the new rule.  Doug took Dallin camping one night in April and they had a blast.  I enjoyed relaxing at home and packing without help.  The boys had a great time playing and enjoying the outdoors until Dallin got sick and they came home early.

Dallin is a great little boy.  We have our moments and he can throw some wild temper tantrums but he always makes sure I'm happy.  He can't wait to move into our house.  He wait for Amos to come and really wants him to come home with us.  I just hope that Amos waits to come until everything is moved into our new house.  Dallin can't wait to be a big brother and help with baby Amos.

Are you getting sentimental? I went through that right before Blake was born. I kept thinking, "I really need to enjoy this time with Sara before I have to divide my attention."

Good luck with the house and the move! Miss you!
