Take Me Out to the Ballgame...

... For it's 1, 2, 3 strikes you're out at the old ballgame. Unfortunately we saw a lot more outs than hits at the ballgame, but we LOVED being at the World Series watching the Rangers play.

Here we are ready to cheer for our team (well Amos was mostly just ready to go to sleep).

Doug got our tickets before we knew they were going to the World Series. Tickets were a pretty hot item, and the first two games in Texas sold out while Doug was trying to get through on the phone. Once he got through, we didn't know if we would be able to go since the only tickets we could get were to Game 5. On top of that, only single seats were left so we couldn't get three seats together. However, we were trilled that the Rangers won a game to make game 5 necessary and were excited to be able to go and cheer on our Rangers. Even better, the person that had the seat next to Doug didn't come so Dallin was able to easily have a seat next to us without having to have people move or sit on our lap. Melissa had the aisle seat right in front of Doug, so Dallin was able to go back and forth and be with both of us during the game.

We had so much fun being at the Ballpark and cheering for the Rangers. A couple more pictures of our family at the game can be seen here. We have become big Rangers fans over the course of our last three summers here in Texas, and we always love gong to the ballpark as a family. It was especially fun to follow the team this year as the did so well. We were disappointed they weren't able to come away with a win, but that's the way baseball go. We had a fun experience at the World Series anyway. Nellie Cruz hit a home run and the fireworks went off so according to Dallin the Rangers won because he saw fireworks. Amos doesn't like being up past his bedtime so we tried to keep him asleep as much as possible. Dallin doesn't like loud noises so whenever it got loud he would put his hood on to help block out the noise. He may not like loud noises but he loved sitting on the stairs eating his popcorn and changing seats throughout the game. All in all it was a great family activity and are crossing our fingers that we get to go again next year, hopefully with a better result.
