Christmas 2010

Christmas Eve 2010 - in our new pajamas
We had a wonderful, relaxing Christmas Eve this year. We made a nice lunch since Doug didn't have to work because we were going to a party that night. Dallin loved helping us with the cupcakes. It was nice to spend most of the day relaxing, napping, and watching Christmas movies. We had fun with our friends in the evening and Dallin was so excited to watch the Backyardigans Christmas show. After the party we came home and had our Christmas Eve Program. Dallin danced around the room and sang Jingle Bells. Amos played baby Jesus, Dallin was Joseph, and Melissa was Mary while Doug read the Christmas story. After Silent Night was sung we opened our new pajamas. Dallin's face was so cute when he saw his Cars pjs. Amos loved the wrapping paper and looked adorable in his reindeer pjs. We ended the night getting cookies for Santa ready and then we put the boys to bed. It was a great night.
Christmas morning was so fun. Doug laughed at Melissa because 5:30 she couldn't sleep because she was so excited to see the boys see what Santa brought. Amos was kind enough to wake up around 6:30 so he could have a bottle before brother woke up. Doug woke up at 7 but still no sign of Dallin so we woke him up close to 7:30. Dallin didn't love being woke up until he realized Santa came. He was so excited to get his Pillow Pet and talking Car. Amos was so cute playing in the exersaucer Santa brought him. Everyone loved seeing the treasures inside their stockings. The boys enjoyed opening up presents and luckily Dallin was excited enough that he didn't mind helping Amos open his presents.
Amos got a special treat for Christmas this year. He got his first try at solids and was somewhat impressed. He was very ready for food and he was adorable taking his first bites. Melissa made Dallin a Radiator Springs car mat and Amos a Cars book, both presents were a hit. Dallin loves playing with his car mat so it was well worth all the hard work. We enjoyed spending the day in our pajamas, playing with new toys, watching our new movies, napping and eating yummy food. We had a wonderful Christmas this year and loved being together as a family enjoying the holiday.

Glad it was a great Christmas. We had a great time in Indiana and came home with a job offer, which we took. So...we are moving to Indiana in a little over 2 weeks. You guys busy this weekend or next? We would love to get together before we go.

Your boys are so cute! I can't believe how big Amos is getting, I think I say that every time I leave a comment, but it is true. Sorry that I never responded to your email, that is our correct address. I got the email right when we were getting ready to leave for Utah, and our trip was crazy busy. That car mat looks awesome and I am sure it is if you made it!! I need to start crafting again.
