Monday night we had our annual March Madness Family Home Evening. We had food you may find at a basketball game for dinner, hot dogs & popcorn. Along with some food you may not find, cottage cheese (for Dallin), baked beans, and salsa & chips. Dinner ended up being much better than I expected. Doug gave a wonderful lesson on how obedience helps us turn weaknesses into strengths, just as a basketball team can become stronger by listening to its coach. For our activity we picked brackets for the boys and played basketball. Dallin just told us which team he wanted, which seemed to be whichever team was the second one that we named. He thought he was pretty funny when he picked Arizona over Duke, though. Amos picked his teams by color. We put toys in front of him that matched the color of the teams in a given match-up and whichever toy got picked was his choice. They both had a good time picking the teams, although it took Amos two days to finish all the picks (he was a little sleepy the first night). Then we opened a package from the "Basketball Fairy" filled with new Duke attire. Dallin was so excited to get a new Duke jersey. We forgot to open the presents before Amos went to bed so I had to get him up to see what he got and change him. After we put Amos to bed for the second time we had cinnamon rolls for dessert.

Here I am watching the Duke Michigan game missing our Duke friends in Texas. We got my whole family to do brackets so we have had a good time watching the games. Happy Basketball!
