Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas.  We had so much fun decorating gingerbread houses.  Dallin was really excited to decorate his.  Amos was a little too small to enjoy it this year, he did love eating the candy tough
When the houses were done, we decorated gingerbread cookies.  Amos played while Dallin, Mom and Dad enjoyed decorating the cookies.
While mom was getting dinner ready that morning the boys decorated the tree with candy canes.  When the houses and cookies were decorated and after we began our new Secret Santa tradition.  We gathered in our living room for our Christmas Family Home Evening.  The boys loved listening to stories and singing Christmas carols.  Dallin and Amos especially loved playing with the Nativity while Daddy read from the bible.  We always love reading about birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ on Christmas Eve.  He is the reason we celebrate the holiday and it is through him that we can return to live with Heavenly Father again.  We are so grateful for the blessing we have been given.
After our Family Home Evening was over and we were finished doing our Facetime gift exchange with cousins, we opened our new Christmas pajamas.  The boys loved their new Cars pjs and couldn't wait to get the cookies and carrots ready then go to bed.
Santa found our home.  Dallin got the Dinosaur Trio blocks he asked for and filled his stocking with the rest.  Dallin loved Christmas and was so excited for Santa to come that he ran to the living room as soon as he woke up to see what Santa brought.  He wasn't very excited when he had to leave his new toys to wait until Amos was ready.  Amos got a Lightening McQueen race track and his stocking was filled with lots of play food.  Amos loved all his new cars and food.
The boys were excited to get a chocolate Santa in their stocking.  Daddy left his on the ground and Amos was caught eating it right up.  The boys loved the new Pillow Pets from Grandma & Grandpa Washington.  Dallin slept with his on the way to church. The boys opened a few presents and then we went to church.
When we got home from church we finished opening up the presents.  Dallin was so excited for Daddy to open the rainbow play-doh.  It was fun to see him so excited to give a gift at Christmas time. They each loved the last present they got to open.  Amos loves to play with the pots and pans he got, he cooks lots of things with them all the time.  Dallin was disappointed about his camera for a second until he saw what it does, he loves to take pictures all the time.  Overall we had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the holiday together as a family.
