Dallin Turns 5

Dallin turned 5 years old, he is growing up.  We love our little boy.  He keeps our life exciting and interesting. He loves his little brother and plays with him a lot.  He also loves to tackle with Daddy and Amos.  He loves dinosaurs, cars, animals, sports, his trio blocks, and anything boy.  For his birthday we wanted to do something special and something that he would love.  He loves hotel rooms and always asks when we get to go to one, so we decided going to a hotel room would be a perfect present for his birthday.  We went and stayed in Arlington close to a museum with dinosaurs.  The boys loved the hotel room.  We had so much fun playing hide & seek, eating pizza and cookies, playing on the bed, watching an episode of Wild Kratts, and the boys especially loved reading the books we brought.  It was such a fun night together as a family.

The next day we went to the Nature and Science Museum in Fort Worth.  Dallin was so excited to see all the dinosaurs.  We enjoyed looking at the dinosaur fossils, measuring dinosaur bones, setting in a dinosaur footprint, and putting together dinosaur bones. The boys loved digging for dino bones outside.  

The boys loved playing at the children's museum.  They went shopping at the grocery store for a long time.  They had so much fun filling the carts and buying food.  They also loved seeing the bugs, playing with the trains, and playing doctor.  It was fun a great children's museum.

We also went to an exhibit about Texas and Dallin liked pretending to round up the cattle.  They had a special exhibit about George Washington that was very interesting.  The Stock Show was going on so we went over to the petting zoo.  The boys loved seeing the animals.  After a fun day we headed home.

It didn't take long for Dallin to fall asleep.  It took a little longer for Amos to fall asleep with the book in his lap.  After a long drive home we stopped at Chick Fil A for dinner and the boys had so much fun playing and getting wiggles out.

We ended the night with popcorn, cookies and the movie Night at the Museum.  Dallin likes that movie and Amos had so much fun with all the popcorn.

After going to church on his birthday we had his birthday dinner, pizza just as requested.  We opened his birthday presents.  It was so fun to see his excitement with each gift.  He loved them all.  He was so proud of his cake, he loved the dinosaurs on his cake and he loved eating it after the presents and playing was done.

The presents before and after.  He loved the dinosaur play mat that his mom made.  He plays with it a lot.  He also loved his car launcher and brought his cars to his dino land which was funny.  He also loved his dino book, sea boat trio blocks, and his new Cars game.  He had a wonderful birthday weekend.  We love you Dallin!
