Last Weekend in Dallas!

We enjoyed our last weekend in Dallas. We have loved our summer here and enjoyed discovering where we will be settling down and raising our family. On Friday night we went to Mormon night at the Ballpark at Arlington where the Rangers play. It was a blast, for the first time Dallin actually watched baseball and tried to find where the ball was. The baseball field is near the airport so Dallin also enjoyed seeing the planes in the sky. He had so much fun. No one sat in the chair next to us so we let Dallin have his own sit which he thought was pretty cool. He loved climbing up and down and standing on the chair. He made me nervous sometimes but he did well. The Rangers won and it was a pretty entertaining baseball game. My favorite part was when I found a snow cone stand, it was really hot at the game that night, so the snow cone was really refreshing. After the game we down to the stands where the Mormons were and we listened to a former BYU baseball player speak and they gave out prizes. We didn't win any prizes but we were able to get Dallin a couple of baseball cards. We had a lot of fun and plan to make a tradition of going to Mormon night to watch the Rangers.
Dallin was really tired at the end of the game and he kept putting his baseball hat over his face because it was bright. I love the last picture of Dallin and I because we look so bored, it was the end of game, 9 innings at a baseball game is a little long if you ask me. We did have an enjoyable time together as a family at the baseball though, so it was worth it.

Saturday we went downtown to go to the Dallas Museum of Art. We had a really good time, Dallin gets a little restless at museums like that, but he did well for the most part. It's a really nice museum and has some of my favorite artists. They had a new exhibit there which had a really cool painting of the Eiffel Tower which bright colors and interesting angles. When we were done at the museum Doug showed us his office at K&L Gates. Then we went to Neiman Marcus and had planned to eat lunch at the cafe there but it was closed. We went to look around at the department store and we went to the children's department. Everything was pretty pricey buy I did find a shirt on sale for $7, I would have bought one for Dallin but they didn't have his size. They had a lot of girls clothes and like two shelves for little boys. When we realized the cafe was closed we started walking back to our car and found a Subway so we stopped there and then we went home. It was an enjoyed day in Dallas.
