October 2011 Highlights:
*We were spiritually uplifted during general and stake conference.  Our Stake President visited our ward to announce they are building a new church building closer to our house.  Melissa was called to serve as Primary President.
*The first Monday we had our Halloween FHE and we had a lesson on the Holy Ghost, the boys pretended to go trick or treating, and we decorated for Halloween.
*Dallin is getting better at riding his tricycle and rode it all the way to the park and he is learning how to swing by himself on the swings.
*Amos had his 15 month check up and is growing well and getting big.  He will say dada, ball, Hi, go go go, and mama.  He loves to play with balls, cars, and blocks.  He loves to explore and look for airplanes.  Amos learned how to climb the big slide in the backyard.  He is starting to love playing with hats and peek- a-boo.
*Dallin had a very hard time watching his brother get shots, and Amos wasn’t excited to get them either, so we went to the park and took Daddy dinner to help the boys feel better.
*We enjoyed the nice fall weather by going on walks, and going to the park.  Dallin loves to walk through the “secret” pathway to the next street.
*The boys went to work with Dad one Saturday and loved being with Daddy at the office.
*Dallin’s imagination has soared lately and he loves to make things with boxes: he made a car, a rocket for Woody and a cabin.  Mom helped cut the doors and windows but he told her where to cut and colored them all.  He watched Night at the Museum one day and made a museum in the playroom with his toys.  He loved playing with his friends.  He has loved collecting treasures for his chest.
*We took Daddy dinner one Monday night so we could have FHE and watch a Rangers game together.
*The boys have loved playing with Daddy after work and Amos is starting to play basketball with Dallin and Daddy.
*We went to Owen’s Farm for Daddy’s work party and the boys loved seeing the goats and going on a hay ride.  Dallin loved getting a balloon sword from Razzle Dazzle and playing in the bounce house.
*We were excited that the Rangers went to the World Series again.  Doug and Melissa had fun going to Game 3.
*Dallin and Mom made Halloween cupcakes for FHE and the next day Amos climbed on the step stool to try and steal one.
*After Dallin's last soccer practice Daddy took him out for a milk shake.
*Mom finished making the boys’ dinosaur costumes just in time to go to the Halloween story time and puppet show at the library.  They had fun dressing up to listen to the stories.  We went in the fields to take pictures of them when story time was over.  Dallin had fun playing with stickers and making pictures while mom sewed the costumes.
*After Dallin’s last soccer game we had a fun afternoon going to a pumpkin patch to find pumpkins.  The next day after church we painted and carved the pumpkins.  Dallin was excited to make a cheetah pumpkin, and Amos enjoyed playing with his baby pumpkin.
*We had so much fun getting candy at our ward trunk or treat dressed up as two dinosaurs and two paleontologists.
*We had a fun Halloween, Dallin got to decorate a pumpkin at preschool, play Halloween games with mom, we ate chili and scones for dinner, the boys went trick or treating, and we finished off the night by making haunted house brownies.
