August Highlights:
* We had a lot of fun cooling off in the swimming pool.
* Dallin finished up some swimming lessons and loved learning to swim and playing in the pool.
* Amos starting getting really brave with walking and began walking everywhere he wanted to go. He has loved exploring the world with his two feet.
* Amos loves to walk across the bridge and he especially loves to look through the railing. He thinks it’s a lot of fun to throw his toys through the railing and laughs as they land downstairs.
* Doug and Melissa went on a fun date to the temple and Doug surprised her by finding a gelato place close to the temple. It was so yummy!
* We made some chocolate fondue and had fun dipping, strawberries, marshmallows, cookies & bananas in the chocolate. Dallin thought it was so much fun and was on a very large sugar high afterwards. Doug dipped a banana is chocolate for Amos, but he wasn’t a huge fan.
* We went to a splash park to cool off and had fun with friends playing and having lunch and playing at Chick-Fil-A.
* We turned Amos’ car seat around and he loves being able to see mom and dad in the car and look out the window, but his favorite thing is putting toys in the cup holder next to him.
* We had so much fun when Rachel came to stay with us for a week. We went shopping, swimming, out to eat, and the boys loved seeing all the planes at the airport when we dropped her off. We LOVED having her visit us.
* While Rachel was here we spent one day at the zoo. It was hot but we all had a good time seeing all the animals.
* Dallin started going to soccer practice and has had fun playing soccer with other kids his age.
* Amos likes to cause mischief and he especially loves to empty the drawers filled with DVDs, open and close drawers, put toys in places around the house, he loves to take things in and out of boxes.
* We were excited to see some Duke basketball a little early this year while they played in China.
* Amos has discovered his love of playing with balls and he loves to walk around with them and throw them.
* The boys have had fun playing in the backyard and practicing soccer with Daddy.
* Since it was so hot Dallin and Mama had some afternoon movie parties with popcorn and treats.
* Dallin was so excited and ready to start his second year of preschool.
* Amos also learned how to stand up without holding onto anything.
* Amos found the phone one day and called 911, Melissa quickly hung up the phone but we still got a phone call from the police to see if anything was wrong and they apparently wanted to double check because they ended up at our door step to check and make sure our house was safe. Melissa was embarassed and Dallin was so excited.
