A Big Helper!

Dallin enjoys helping me around the house. Sometimes he's not so much help, but he tries and just wants to be near me so I don't mind it taking me a few more minutes to do a simple task (sometimes). Dallin loves to help with the dishes, he enjoys pulling the racks out of the dishwasher, taking out the plates or silverware, playing with the water on the bottom of the dishwasher, and lately he thinks it's really fun to climb on and if he's really lucky stand (for a few seconds before mom or dad takes him off). Dallin enjoys causing trouble lately and I'm grateful that he's cute while he does it and I can laugh about it instead of it just making me upset.
Before we left Durham, he enjoyed walking around with our broom whenever I left it out. He even tried to sweep our floor with it, notice how he tries to sweep under the fridge. Another thing that Dallin likes to do is go into the bathroom and take some toilet paper off and wipe up the floor. I'm not sure where he picked that up, but it sure is funny to see him when he does it. Unfortunately, now he just enjoys taking off as much toilet paper and see how much he can get on the floor. As I said before, I'm grateful he's cute while he causes trouble and makes a mess.
Dallin also very much enjoys helping clean his room. Alright so must of the time he doesn't really help much. As a said before, at least he's cute while taking all of his diapers out of the changing table, unfolding all of his neatly folded and put away blankets, emptying his bookshelf, or emptying his toy boxes and scattering toys all over the room and through the house. He is such a funny little boy and he enjoys getting into everything. It has been so fun lately to watch him do things and discover the world. While we were on our trip he would even help pack sometimes. I put some of his toys in ziploc bags for the move. One morning he helped Doug put his animals back in the bag. It was so cute watching him try and open the bag, then put the animals away. When we got to Texas he loved his new room and playing with his toys. I had put his stacker set on the shelf, and Dallin of course took it down so he could play with it, but much to my surprise when he was done playing with it he tried to put it back on the shelf. I guess putting his toys away does pay off. Eventually they learn that it goes back on the shelve when you're done.

Hope your first week in Dallas has been great. Soren is sitting next to me and got so excited to see Dallin. We will have to get together sometime.
