Dallin started kindergarten this year. He was so excited and couldn't wait to meet his teacher. He has done very well. He likes learning and is having fun making new friends. We went as a family to school on the first day. Dallin sat down in his seat and started coloring and talking to the other kids at the table. He didn't have a hard time saying good-bye to Mom, Dad and Amos at all. He has done well getting ready for school so early and being gone most of the day.
Dallin has come home on the bus everyday and he loves riding the bus home. It took us a few days before Dallin rode the bus to school, the first day riding the bus to school was a little rough. The next day he wasn't nervous at all and couldn't wait to ride the bus to school.
The second week of school, Dallin got to take a teddy bear to school. They had teddy bear Olympics then the bears got to spend the night at school, and the next morning they had a teddy bear picnic. Dallin was so excited to take Dan Bear to school.
For two weeks they learned about colors and shapes. Dallin got to wear a different color everyday to school. He thought that was a lot of fun. He got to take objects of different shapes to school as well. He was so excited to come home and tell mom about spirit night at Chick-Fil-A. Mom was excited because that meant she didn't have to cook dinner. Dallin loved walking into Chick-Fil-A and finding friends from school to play with.
Amos has done very well with his big brother going to school everyday. After we dropped Dallin off, he seemed to really like to play by himself, but about 3 hours after school started he was ready for Dallin to come home. For about the first week or so, Amos would sit by the back door and cry to a few minutes because he wanted to be with Dallin. He has gotten use to his brother being at school everyday and he gets excited to go to the bus stop and pick up Dallin. We miss Dallin while he's gone all day and they play very well together when Dallin gets home from school.
