Visiting Duke!

We took a trip to Duke this summer and we had a lot of fun visiting our home during law school.  Dallin couldn't wait to show Amos Duke and the hospital where he was born.  Dallin couldn't fall asleep the night before and fell asleep shortly after the plane took off.  Amos enjoyed watching some Cars before he fell asleep.  We were excited to land in NC.
As soon as we landed we stopped at the Q Shack for lunch.  Mom and Dad enjoyed having Carolina BBQ again but Dallin and Amos didn't think it was very good.  As soon as lunch was over we went to the Durham Life and Science museum.  We had so much fun.  We got see some new exhibits as well as old favorites.  Our boys loved the new dinosaur trail and mist area (where you could cool while walking through the mist).  We had so much fun at the museum.
The first evening we stopped at another Durham favorite for dinner and had some grinders.  Then we went to Southpoint mall and let the boys play and walk around the mall.
On Sunday we went to Sacrament meeting at our old ward and then ate lunch.  We went to Duke gardens and went on a nice walk through the gardens.  We loved spending time at the gardens again.  The boys loved walking/running around the gardens.
Before going back to the hotel we stopped at the Duke chapel.
That afternoon we escaped that hot and humid weather and relaxed in the hotel.  The boys rested and watched Land Before Time.  We relaxed at the swimming pool for a little bit. The boys had fun playing hide and seek.  Unfortunately Amos got his toe caught under the door while finding Dallin.  He was very sad for a little while and then he played a fishing game with Dallin and started to have fun again.
We made one more stop to Duke and took the boys to the Duke Basketball museum.  They had a lot of new things and all the boys loved looking at everything.  They had a little area where you could hear the sounds of Cameron.  At first Amos was very scared and then he started clapping.  Dallin covered his ears the whole with a smile on his face.  They were working on the court and we were very disappointed that we couldn't walk on the court.

After spending time at Cameron we went over to the law school.  We were able to take the boys into an open classroom and our future lawyers liked playing at the desks.  Doug was able to run into an old friend at the law school.  Before leaving Duke we stopped at the bookstore and the boys had fun picking out something to take home.  We had so much fun visiting Duke again.
