After spending a few days at Duke, we met Doug's family in Myrtle Beach. The boys had so much fun playing in the water and the sand. Dallin went into the ocean with no fear at all and had a blast playing in the waves. This was the first time for Amos to see the ocean, he enjoyed his first introduction to the ocean. Both of the boys had a lot of fun playing in the sand. After playing at the beach we relaxed at the hotel and then headed out to pick up some things for beach.
The second day at the beach was a lot of fun. Dallin loved playing in the waves and did well with the board we picked up for him. Amos preferred to play in the sand and only wanted someone to hold him in the ocean. The boys loved playing in the sand.
We had a fun evening at Broadway at the Beach. We had a yummy dinner and then the boys had fun playing at the playground. We then went to the Aquarium and the boys loved seeing all the sea animals. They had a dinosaur exhibit which made my dinosaur loving boy very happy. We made a stop at Ben and Jerry's and had some yummy ice cream.
We spent a day in Charleston and had lunch then went out to Fort Sumter. The boys loved all the canons. They also loved going on the ferry to the fort.
We spent our last morning at the beach and the boys had a great time. They loved building sandcastles and playing in the sand. We spent some time that evening at the pool and the boys loved the lazy river. That evening we found frog outside the door and the boys loved following the frog around. For our last night with Doug's family the boys watched Cars 2 and had some popcorn. The boys loved spending time with Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Amanda. Dallin showed them his love of coloring by making them take art classes from him all week long.
Before leaving Doug's family we enjoyed a round of dinosaur miniature golf. The boys had a blast. Doug and I took the boys to the Raleigh temple. We had a nice time walking around the temple and talking to the boys about the temple. We had dinner at Chick-Fil-A so the boys could get some wiggles out before the airplane ride. The boys did great on the airplane and Amos slept pretty much the whole time.
We had a wonderful time spending time together as a family.
