Christmas Eve

When had a wonderful Christmas this year.  On Christmas Eve, I cooked, cooked, and cooked.  When I wasn't cooking we spent time together as a family.  We tried to teach Dallin about Christmas and help understand what was going on.  He was excited but I'm not sure he understood everything.

We had a really yummy dinner; low-fat ham, funeral potatoes, rolls, salad, red/green jello (Dallin's favorite part of the meal), and a vegetable tray.  For dessert, which we actually didn't eat until Christmas was a yummy trifle (made with angel food cake, pudding, and fruit).
After dinner we decorated sugar cookies.  Dallin was on a sugar high the rest of the night after eating all the frosting.
Then we read the Christmas story, sang Christmas carols and read some of our favorite Christmas stories.
After all the stories we opened our Christmas pajamas.  Now whenever Dallin opens a gift with clothes he thinks they are pajamas.  He loved his Christmas pajamas, with Santa, reindeer and snowmen.  He was ready for Christmas.
Right before bed Dallin put one last ornament on our advent calendar.  He loved doing our advent calendars this year.  He especially loved the one with chocolate.  He would ask me several times during the day if he could do the advent calendar.  I always told him he had to wait until daddy came home.  He would usually ask for chocolate for breakfast during December.
