November Travels

We had a wonderful November, filled with travels. We took advantage of our last month together before Doug went to work on November 30th. We really enjoyed spending time together and having lots of fun.
HOUSTON:
First, we headed to Houston. We had a lot of fun visiting the Space Center, Houston Zoo, Museum of Natural Science, and the Houston Temple. We also enjoyed a picnic in the park and playing at a mall. We also were able to spend some time with Doug's cousins and his uncle. The highlight of our Houston trip was finding out that Doug passed the bar exam. We were so excited and celebrated by going to get gelato and went to dinner with Doug's family to the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to.
CRUISE:
After spending a few days in Houston we headed to Galveston to get on our cruise ship.
After spending a day at sea we stopped in Mexico and went to visit the Mayan ruins at Tulum, which were really neat and had a beautiful beach below the ruins where we could go play. We thought the tourist trap near where the boat docked was funny: a Three Amigos restaurant.
Then we went to Grand Cayman and visited the Turtle Farm. It was fun to see all the turtles and be able to hold one. Dallin loved seeing all the turtles, fish, sharks, chickens, and iguanas and going swimming. Doug was able to go snorkeling at the Turtle Farm. We had a fun and busy day. Dallin fell asleep with his new turtle while we were waiting for the tender to take us back to the cruise ship.
Our last stop was Jamaica, where we enjoyed going to a beautiful private beach. Dallin loved playing in the calm ocean. He spent most of our time at the beach playing in the water or with his beach ball. It was by far the most beautiful beach I have ever been to; the water was so calm and clear.
We then spent a couple of days at sea. Dallin and Doug went swimming and played basketball. We enjoyed one formal night as a family and then Doug and Melissa took Dallin to Camp Carnival for the second formal night and enjoyed a date. Each evening when we returned to our room we had towels on the bed folded into the shape of an animal. One of Dallin's favorite things to do on the ship was tackle the towel animals at night. He was so excited to see which animal was on the bed each night.
UTAH:
Our final vacation was to Utah to celebrate Grandpa Hansen's 50th birthday and Thanksgiving. We had lots of fun visiting family and Dallin loved playing with his cousins. Dallin was kind enough to make Grandpa a birthday cake with play-dough and he loved playing with all of Doug's old toys.
