Valentines Date

This year for Valentines Doug and I dinner by candlelight after Dallin went to bed. I made salad and garlic bread (okay so I bought a casear salad mix and frozen garlic bread but I had to heat up and toast the bread), Doug got Italian food (take-out, so I didn't have to cook). Then we watched No Reservations (good movie, not my favorite, but a good movie for sure).
Doug gave me flowers--aren't the tulips beautiful--along with a DVD combo (You've Got Mail and Must Love Dogs).
I gave Doug a trail of valentines leading to the dining table with chocolate and dice (for the dice game played in Priates of the Carribbean). His best present is the Counting Crows new cd, but he has to wait until it comes out in March.
With such a beautiful dinner, who needs to go out.
I made Doug dress up for our nice dinner in. I've been wanting to dress up and go out on date, and since we don't go out very often I made him dress up for Valentines. I also made him take this picture because I realized that since Dallin was born we haven't hardly taken any pictures of just the two of us.

It was a very nice Valentines day. As we looked at what we've done in the years past, this one was best. Our first Valentines we went to a dinner and a movie (which after a long day at work, caused me to fall asleep). The second we just went to dinner. Last year we didn't do anything. Dallin had just been born so we didn't really do anything to celebrate last year. Doug did bring me a card. However, I did nothing, sorry Doug. It was wonderful to celebrate this year, especially since I didn't have to work long hours at the flower shop for days before and on Valentines. It's funny, I didn't have to work last year either, but this year I seemed to enjoy it more. It was nice just to relax at home and get ready for our dinner and make valentines.

Cute pics! You really look like your sister in that picture. Anyway, sometimes it's fun to just stay home. That's cool that you dressed up, too! Way fun!
