Dallin

Here are a couple of miscellaneous of Dallin from this month.  Dallin is such a blessing in our lives.  I love being his mother and I know Doug also enjoys being his father.  He is such a happy little kid and just enjoys life.  He is all boy and enjoys doing everything boy.  He loves sports, just like his daddy.  He loves to play with cars and usually can't leave the house without one in his hand.  He loves to dance and sing songs with us.  He loves to tackle with his Daddy.  He is such a smart little boy and already knows most of his ABC's along with their sounds.  He enjoys learning and loves to read books with us.  He loves animals and has to have some with him when he goes to bed at night.
My sister sent us a package for Halloween with the funniest card, it has the theme song from Ghostbusters.  She sent us a Ghostbusters DVD (who doesn't love that movie) and some books for Dallin.  She sent us the best book called Spookly the Square Pumpkin, it is the funniest book, and Dallin still requests us to read it to him.  Thanks so much for the fun package.  It has been really nice lately because I can get him to sit still enough to read him books.
On Nov. 14 I had a little set back with my pancreas.  I wasn't feeling very well and was in a lot of pain.  Lately, Dallin enjoys going to his room and just so he can play sometimes and he'll just go upstairs.  So while Doug and I were downstairs talking about what we were going to do, after I got off the phone with my doctor and she told me I had to go on clear liquids to give my pancreas rest.  Dallin just went upstairs all by himself.  We decided that I needed to rest as much as possible so that my pain didn't increase.  Before I was sent to the couch, I told Doug I wanted to see Dallin before I laid down.  We went upstairs to find Dallin sitting in the glider with his Book of Mormon stories in hand.  It was such a tender little moment.  It was so sweet to see my little boy looking through his Book of Mormon book.  Reading scripture stories at night as been a bit of a struggle for us lately, and he hasn't been sitting still or listening very well.  It was so refreshing seeing Dallin to choose to look at his scripture book.  I love my little boy and I am so grateful for him.  He even sat through all of Sacrament Meeting for Doug on Sunday.  I was so excited when they came home and Doug told me he was so reverent.  Hopefully that is what continues to happen at church.  My poor little boy has started to have a difficult time going to Nursery, he has been having some major separation anxiety lately.  It isn't very much fun to see him so sad.  As soon as Sacrament Meeting in over he starts to whimper and he gets such a worried expression on his face.  I hope that this phase passes quickly.
