Hello Blue Devil," is Dallin's favorite book these days. He loves to read it and can't go to sleep without reading the Blue Devil book. As we read it, he will often whisper "Hello Blue Devil" or "Blue Devil." Every time it talks about the fans cheering for Duke he puts his little fist up like he does when he cheers with his Daddy at the games. It is the cutest thing, ever. He has a little blue devil that he likes to sleep with, but tonight I noticed it was broken, so we'll have to get one that he can sleep with. Most of the time when we put him in bed, he'll say "Night, Blue Devil" as we leave the room. He is a Duke fan, just like his Daddy and Mommy. Doug is so very proud of his little Duke fan and so am I. He loves basketball and puts his little basketball on our couch so it can be more of a challenge for him. Hello Blue Devil is a wonderful book for every little Duke fan.
We have had the opportunity to take Dallin to a few Duke Basketball games. Every chance we get, we jump on it. Duke games are hard to get into and I want Dallin to be able to be included as much as possible in the Duke experience. Doug loves being able to share the experience with us and we have had a lot of fun. We love Duke Basketball at our house.
My two favorite Duke fans before the game.
This was the second game we went to this year. The first was the blue and white game with my family. This was the Lenoir-Rhyne exhibition game, which was a pre-season game. We weren't sure how many chances we would be able to get tickets for Dallin to go the games so we have taken advantage of every opportunity we can.
Dallin was cheering as we were watching the teams warm-up. He is the best and cutest little Duke fan. I love watching him as he gets excited for the game.
Since we got to the stadium early we went to the Duke sports Hall of Fame to let Dallin get some wiggles out. He liked seeing all the basketball stuff and really enjoyed running around.
I guess, the game got a little too loud for my little boy. Duke games do get a little load sometimes, those Cameron Crazies are just that crazy. They stand and jump the entire game, cheering the whole time. Dallin's favorite treat at Basketball games is popcorn. He loves it and he usually eats most of it all by himself.
Doug and Dallin have gone to a lot of sporting events together this season, so I could have a little break and get some things done without my little helper. While it has been for them to have some special Daddy and son time doing something they enjoy together. It was nice to get out of the house and go to the NC State football, even though I don't enjoy football much. It was nice to spend time as a family doing something they enjoy.
Dallin loves going to sporting events. He loves to play in the bleachers and he loves to cheer.
Next, we were able to get some tickets to the Presbyterian game for Family Home Evening on Nov. 10. Couch K was disappointed in the turnout for the Lenoir-Rhyne game so he decided to give some tickets to the graduate students and their families. So we jumped at the chance to take Dallin to another game. We had great seats and Dallin loved being in the student section. He was so cute standing next to his Daddy and cheering with all the students. He also enjoyed playing with a little girl that was also in the family section. These were the only pictures I took, and they were during half-time. It's hard to take pictures with everyone standing around and jumping. As a whole, I think it was the best game we went to as a family, we had good seats, and we loved being around all the students. We had lots of fun and we just found out today that they are allowing children to go on Friday. If I'm feeling better we will be taking Dallin to another game. We love being at Duke and want to enjoy our last year in North Carolina as much as we can as a family.
