First Duke Basketball Game!

Saturday morning we woke up early and drove to Durham so we could go to the first Duke Basketball game (okay, so it was a scrimmage). Doug was excited to take his nieces to their first Duke game. My Dad was really excited for the opportunity to go in Cameron Indoor Stadium to watch a Duke game. We were really excited to take Dallin to another Duke game. Dallin loves basketball very much and was really excited to watch basketball in the stadium with his Dad.

Doug and I enjoyed having Rachel and Brinlee in the car with us when we came back to Durham. I don't know how we are going to travel without them. They were wonderful and helped keep Dallin entertained. Rachel watched 101 Dalmations with Dallin, read Dallin books, and Brinlee helped Dallin with his coloring. It was great, I don't think he fussed the whole way home. When we got to Durham we headed to Duke and went to the bookstore so the girls could get a new Duke shirt. Then we headed to the game and I enjoyed the game, but didn't have the best seats so it was hard to see. Dallin loved watching the game while he was with his dad. When he was with me he enjoyed being with his cousins and watching as much of the game as he could. We are very excited for Duke basketball this season and are excited to go to another game next week.

After the game Dallin and I went home for a nap, the girls went to get some stuff at the bookstore, and Doug and my Dad went to the Duke football game. After that we all met at the Q-Shack (Doug's favorite Southern BBQ place in Durham) so the girls could experience some local food. After dinner we headed to the mall so Kelsie could do some shopping on the trip at the mall Melissa used to work at.
