Happy Easter!

There are a lot of reasons why Spring is our favorite season of the year: for Doug it signals the end of the school year and corresponding break from studies, for Melissa it brings about the blossoms and flowers she is fond of photographing, and for Dallin it means more frequent walks and trips to the park. It is Easter, though, that helps to put all of these things in context. It is the resurrection of Christ that brings a greater freedom than freedom from studies, namely freedom from the effects of sin and mortality. The rebirth of tulips and magnolias reminds us that life is eternal and death is temporary. The warmth and light that enables us to have more comfortable outdoor adventures helps us to better understand the light and warmth that our Heavenly Father gives us through the Spirit. As a family we have so much to be grateful for, but nothing blesses us more than the security provided by the Atonement. We hope that you all likewise felt the peace and love of the Savior as you enjoyed the Easter holiday.
Dallin's Easter Outfit! This picture was the best I could do, doesn't he have a cute smile. Dallin coming to see what the Easter Bunny left.
Dallin got a swing and an easter basket filled with eggs, books, a coloring book, and crayons.
He also got another Easter basket with more presents from family. Thank You to everyone who helped make Dallin's Easter enjoyable. He's had a rough month with me being in the hospital and we thank everyone who has helped him through this difficult time. Dallin enjoyed what was inside his eggs, I like to call it Dallin drinking the eggs. The Easter bunny filled his eggs with bunny marshmellows and dried fruit.
Below are some pictures of Dallin after going on a walk with Grandma Hansen. She came in and parked him in front of the basketball game. He was very excited of course, a walk outside and then basketball.
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter. We had a wonderful time. Doug, Dallin and Grandma Hansen went to sacrament meeting. I stayed home and rested. Thank you Grandma Hansen for making dinner for the missionaries and our family. We had a nice dinner with the missionaries. We also enjoyed the low fat cupcakes, thank you Jamie for the recipe.
