Life and Science Museum with Daddy

Dallin and I enjoy going to the Durham Life and Science Museum. They have a great children's play area, animals, butterflies, stuff about space, and boats. We took a break from cleaning the Wednesday before school started to show Doug how much fun the museum is. Doug helped Dallin pretend to be an astronaut and play with the balls. We showed Doug the butterfly house and the bears. Dallin loves animals, so the bears are always something he wants to see.
At the end of our trip to the museum we stopped at the catch the wind area and they had boats out. They have an area that reminded me of Luxembourg Gardens in Paris, which has lots of boats and kids use sticks to play with them on the water. The museum wasn't as cool as it was in Paris, but it was still really fun for us to steer the boats around the water. Dallin loved it and just got a cute smile on his face as the steered the boat.
After the museum our plan was to get popsicles at Loco Pops, a place in Durham that makes unique flavored popsicles. Unfortunately we were unable to get some yummy popsicles; at first we drove past it, then we went in and they only accept cash. Well since Doug and I don't carry cash with us we weren't able to get them. Note to self, when going to Loco Pops take cash. We were disappointed because we've been wanting to go to Loco Pops since we moved here. Another time I guess. We certainly enjoyed our family activity and Dallin always likes having his dad around.
