Every year, the highlight for Doug is going to Duke Basketball games. So he along with over 1400 grad students campout for two nights with not very much sleep in order to have their names be put into a lottery, from which 700 students have their names drawn. Those 700 people are awarded season tickets to Duke Basketball games. Each year Doug has camped out with some of the other LDS guys in the law school so they can split the tickets. Last year Doug's name was drawn and he was able to go to the UNC game. This year Doug was very excited for camp and is very excited to go to games. His name wasn't drawn but 10 out of the 12 people in his group got tickets. Doug made a deal with someone and he now will be able to go to the UNC game again this year. He is so excited and ready to campout again for that game this year.
Here is the camp with all the tents.

Dallin and I went to visit Doug on Saturday afternoon after Dallin's nap and when we left they had a check-in. Every so often the bull horn sounds and all the campers have to check-in and if you miss more than one your name is out of the lottery. Doug always enjoys camp and every year Coach K or another coach comes to talk with the campers and sometimes they bring the team with them. This year Coach K and the team came and Doug was able to be really close to him as he spoke, got to ask him a question, and took a picture of Coach K.

The first night we visited with Dad until it was time for Dallin to go to bed. Dallin loved running around at camp. We brought his ball so he enjoyed playing with that. He was able to play with Soren and Ezra and they had a great time running in and out of the empty tents. The boys really enjoyed playing with the lantern. A dog came by the camp spot and Dallin was so excited and yelled puppy, puppy and had to go over and pet the dog. He would have followed the dog around camp if we had let him.

The next day we only visited with Dad for a little while, which was probably a good thing. Dallin loved running around and he was hard to keep up with. He had so much fun playing with dad and seeing him.
