When we got back to Durham in August we finally got a grill. Doug has wanted one for a long time, and every summer we say we're going to get one and never have. This year we actually got a grill. When Doug came home with a grill he got a present because last year, when I thought we were getting a grill when we got back to Durham from Utah, I got some recipes for grilling from Pampered Chef. I had planned to give them to him for some holiday but never did because we didn't have a grill. I was so excited to finally have a grill and so I ran upstairs to get the recipes from my hiding spot. He was shocked that I had them and he was so excited to use his grill. We have been enjoying our grill and Doug loves to cook whatever he can on his grill, which made it nice because as I've been working on getting the house organized Doug has been helping out with cooking dinner and watching Dallin. So Doug was excited that he could make dinner on the grill.
Doug made Grilled Caprese Chicken on Labor Day, which was a recipe that I gave him as a gift. He has enjoyed learning how to use his grill and I have enjoyed eating what he has tried. Doug is such a wonderful husband and is so helpful.
Dallin loves to play outside and so he has enjoyed being able to spend time outside while we grill. In the slide show you see a picture of Dallin folding his arms. He has been getting so much better during prayers at our house lately. He will fold his arms for a few minutes (okay seconds) and say amen at the end. Anyway, Doug was waiting for the chicken to cook and was standing outside folding his arms. So Dallin looked up and folded his arms and bowed his head. I thought it was so funny because he was trying to be like dad, then I realized that he thought it was time to pray. He is such a smart little boy and I learn from him each day. He is so full of life and is such a happy little boy.

That chicken looks so delicious! What kind of cheese is that? I'm totally craving grilled chicken now!
